You must have the Computer Lab Printer driver installed in the "Printer and Faxes" folder.

How to Find if the Computer Lab Printer is Added:

• Click on the "Start" button.
• Click on the "Printer and Faxes" option (right column, under the "Control Panel").
• You should see the "ComputerLab Xerox Phaser 4500N on EDSERV" icon in the "Printer and Faxes" folder with a check mark next to it.
  • If you don't see the printer icon, you need to add it. See below for adding the printer.
  • If you see the printer icon but it is not checked, you need to activate it. See below.

How to Activate the Computer Lab Printer:

• Click on the "Start" button.
• Click on the "Printer and Faxes" option (right column, under the "Control Panel").
• Right click on the icon for the "Computer Lab" printer.
• Select the "Set as Default Printer" option. A check mark will appear next to the printer icon.
  • If you don't see the printer icon, you need to add it. See below for adding the printer.

   

• You can alternatively choose the Computer Lab printer from the application print dialog box.

How to Add the Computer Lab Printer Driver:

• Click on the "Start" button.
• Click on the "Printer and Faxes" option (right column, under the "Control Panel").
• Click on the "Add a printer" link (under Printer Tasks, left column).
• Click "Next" on the "Welcome …" screen.
• Select "A Network Printer ..." and click "Next" on the "Local or Network Printer" screen.
• Select "Find a printer in the directory" and Click "Next" on the "Specify a Printer" screen.
• In the "Find Printers" screen do these:
  • Click on the "Find Now" button.  Printers will show in the bottom of the dialog box.
  • Click on the "ComputerLab Xerox Phaser 4500N" to select it.
  • Click on  the "OK" button.
• Answer "Yes" on the "Default Printer" screen and Click "Next".
• Click "Finish" on the "Completing the Add Printer…" screen.
