LOOP-AROUND: A game for success! This loop-around consist of two games. Each game has twenty cards each. Rules: The game can be played begining with any card. Students will read their card ex: I am day, who has my antonym? The student with night would say, "I have night, who has...(whatever their next clue is)" The game will loop around so that the student who began the game will also end it. GAME ONE is a math game. This game was designed with numbers written in word form and in numerical form. This is done on purpose. Many times students, especially second language learners, are not able to correlate the written and numberical form of numbers. This game helps students to be successful and practice looking at their numbers in both forms. GAME TWO is done using antonyms, synonyms, homophones, and rhymes. This game lets students work with the tricky words that they encounter everyday. The pictures accompanying them should help them to associate the picture with the word. This game also helps students to take auditory cues, manipulate them in their head, and then use visual clues to verify their thoughts. Students will also be able to see the spellings for the way certain words are used. TO THE GAMES! (both games will print) |
