Loop Around Instructions

This Loop-Around game was designed for students in first and second grade to help with identifying rhyming words. This game focuses on reading short vowel and long vowel words. Each game needs 20 students

Instructions: To play Mrs. Jarvis's Loop-Around Game, follow the steps below:

1. Open this link: Mrs. Jarvis's Loop Around
2. Print the game on cardstock paper
3. Cut each card and seperate into two piles (first 20 cards are short vowels, last 20 are long vowels)
4. Each student will hold one card. Instruct students to read the card to themselves, so they are ready to participate!
5. One student begins by reading the questions on their card ("Who has a word that ryhmes with cat?"
6. Students look at their cards, and the student with the corresponding rhyming word responds "I have bat!" Then this student reads the question on their card and the game continues.
7. When all students have participated, this round concludes. Students may switch cards with a neighbor and play again!
