   LOOP AROUND

The loop around activity consists of 20 cards for each game.  There is a math game followed by a language arts game.  The game starts when the student reads a card.  The student who has a card that correlates to it reads their answer.  The game goes on like this until the last card is read that matches the answer given on the very first card.  The last question loops back around to the first card.

The first game is second grade math with particular focus on addition and subtraction.  The students are getting familiar with their math facts as well as practicing 2.0 of the content standards required for second grade.

The second game is language arts, focusing on antonyms.  The students are working on language arts standard 1.0 vocabulary development.  This is a great way for students to understand that an antonym means opposite.
