Loop Around
Directions
Loop Around is intended as a mathematical activity that gets the whole class involved.  Loop Around gives the students an opportunity to activate their listening skills, speaking skills, and cognative skills at the same time.  This particular Loop Around was designed with my fourth grade students in mind.  It is necessary for fourth grade students to have basic mathematical multiplication and divisions facts down in order to be successful in other more advanced math functions.  These functions are addressed in fourth grade math standards; 3.3 Solve problems involving multiplication of multi-digit numbers by two digit numbers and 3.4 Solve problems involving division of multidigit numbers by one-digit numbers.
DIRECTIONS
1.  Pass a Loop Around card to each student.

2.  The student that has the "I have 10" card with the tropical fish will start the Loop Around

3. The student will read their card aloud to the class in order to see who will read the next card, depending on the first card's answer.

4. Students will continue reading each connecting card to the previous read card until the Loop Around comes full circle to the first card.
