Student Teaching
SHOES

My first student teaching placement took place at KI Jones Elementary School in Fairfield, CA.  There I was in the AM Kindergarten classroom in the Dual Immersion program at the school.  I was there from August 2006 to March 2007.  I will be returning there for the last two weeks of school the first two weeks of June.

The school's website can be accessed here.

My resident teacher is Blanca Lopez.  This is her 12th year teaching for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified District.  She graduated from Sacramento University in 1995, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts.  She has her Master's in Education from Chapman University.

Blanca began her teaching career as a first grade bilingual teacher at Crescent Elementary School, where she trained and taught for five years.  She then moved to Anna Kyle School and began working as a bilingual Kindergarten teacher.  A year later she moved to KI Jones and helped implement the Dual Immersion Program.  This is her sixth year teaching Kindergarten Dual Immersion.
