I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I went to school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. After high school, Crenshaw High Class of '02, I came to UC Davis where I got my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Studio and Minor in Education. Because I fell in love with UC Davis and discovered my passion for teaching, I stayed an extra year to get my Teaching Credential and my Masters in Education. By June I will have my Prelimanary Multiple Subject Credential with a BCLAD and by March of 2008 I will have my Masters of Arts in Education. I am planning to teach in Southern California and become all the teachers that helped me accomplish all I have.
![]() I am the oldest of four: we are two girls and two boys. My parents are both from Guatemala and my siblings and I were all born in Los Angeles, CA. Both my parents are very hard working and have pushed me constantly to get all the education possible and to become the best person I can be (which to them means earning more than they do, without doing anything illegal). I love and respect my parents for all their hard work and sacrifices to keep my siblings and I clothed and fed. Mami te amo y te querro mucho papa!! My siblings are all crazy, different, and unique in their own special ways and I love them all. I have a brother who is in California State University, Fresno (he is about to finish his freshman year): Johnny I am so proud of YOU!!, a sister who is finishing her junior year at Crenshaw High School: Angie eres loquita pero te adoro!, and a little brother who is in 2nd Grade: Chris I'm so proud of the high hills you've jumped over. I love them all and I hope they too can find what makes them happy and proud of themselves.
![]() At UC Davis I met Abraham Tellez, my future husband, along with other great people. Abraham and I have been together for 4yrs and we are planning to get married in a year or so. We met at my current job, the Tercero Dining Commons at UC Davis. He was a dishwasher and at the time I was a food preparer, as tough and stressful as this job has been to my body and mind, I am glad I have worked there because that is where I met this wonderful guy!! By June I will move in with him in Pomona and we will support and love each other to accomplish many goals we have in hand, one being marriage (and I want a BIG wedding; therefore, there will be lots of supporting)... Abe I love you! |
