Loop Around
What is it?
The Loop Around is a simple card game that can be played with the students when there is extra time to spare after a lesson.  Although it is not an actual lesson, it is designed to cover materials they already know.  It is good to reinforce certain Math, English, Science, or Reading concepts.  In my set you will find one set of 20 cards for a Math game and one set of 20 cards for a Spelling and letter recognition game.  Both sets are in Spanish and they satisfy both Math and Language Arts Standards, while involving the students in a game.  The Loop Around should start with one student and involve all students during the game, until it loops back to the first student.

 How do you play it?
The Loop Around is played with 20 students (one per card).
Each student receives a card and reads the statement stated on the top of the card (look at Step 1 for the Math and  Language card example to the left) which should give the answer to the previous card (except for the first student).

The Math Cards:
After the statement is read they read the question on the bottom of the card (step 2
).
The student that should answer the question should be the student that has the answer to the question (on top of the card).  This will go on until the student that started the game says that he or she has the number.

 The
Language Cards:
After the picture has been looked at (step 2), the students use it to state:  "La manzana empieza con la __." (step 2).  They do not end the sentence, instead, the student that has that letter --M-- will say:  "Yo tengo la M." and say what he/she has on their card.  This will continue until you end up with the student that started the game.
Where do I get it?
You can click on the link below and print out "The Game".  It is recommended that you print them on cardstock paper and laminate them so that you can use them more than once.
