I have enclosed three letters of recommendation from people whom I have worked with closely and who have had the oppertunity to see me teach and have helped me improve my skills as a teacher.
Professor Alvin Mendle Professor Mendle was my professor and student teaching supervisor while I attended U.C. Davis where I recieved my teaching credential and am working towards my Masters. Professor Mendle has taught at U.C Davis since 1995. His speciality is elementary mathematics and mathematics in education. He is an inspiring individual and has been so supportive through my graduate program and I will always be thankful. The world would be a better place with more people like him.
Proffessor Anna Kato Professor Kato was another profesor of mine at U.C. Davis. I initially met Professor Kato when I came in to do my interview for the credential and Masters program. She has a warm and welcoming personality which made the interviewing process so much easier. Her expertise focuses on classroom management and discpline as well as promoting mental health awareness in schools. In her class, she has given me many good techniques and ideas as to improve my classroom; making it a place that is safe and supportive. I am honored to have been given the oppertunity to get to know her. She has been inspiring.
Bertha Hamilton Bertha Hamilton was my resident teacher for the bulk of the year. She currently teaches second grade. She has been teaching for over thirty years. Mrs. Hamilton has been so helpful and encouraging through my student teaching; allowing me an oppertunity to grow while at the same time giving me feedback so I am able to improve my teaching skills. Mrs. Hamilton has a happy and bubbly personality. Despite my mood, no matter what I am doing, I always find myself in a better mood because of her uplifting energy. She truly makes a difference in the lives of her students and I hope I am able to make the same impact.
