Welcome to my webpage. I would first off like to thank you for taking the time to get to know me through this means, and I hope that you find everything you are looking for and more. I come from a family of six. I have three sisters, two older and one younger. I was born in Thousand Oaks, California and spent most of my childhood living in Westlake Village, California. When I was fourteen, I moved to Houston, Texas. I decided to return to California for my college education. I attended the University of California at Davis for my undergraduate education. There I received a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Education. I graduated in three years with honors. I decided to continue my education in Davis through pursing a multiple subject teaching credential at UC Davis's School of Education. My current student teaching placement is in a second grade classroom at Whitehead Elementary in Woodland, California. I am enjoying every minute of the experience and can't wait to have my own class! My passion for teaching began when I was in high school. During those years, I tutored elementary and high school aged students in all subjects. I always looked forward to my tutoring sessions as they were my favorite parts of the day. During my undergraduate years at UC Davis, I interned in two third grade classrooms at Willett Elementary in Davis. These experiences served as confirmation of my goal to be an elementary teacher. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I play fastpitch softball for the UC Davis club team and I love to travel. I am hoping to plan a trip to Australia in the near future, and most of all, I am looking forward to the upcoming school year! |
