2006-Present            STUDENT TEACHER, David Weir Elementary School  (Fairfield, CA)
Second grade classroom. Prepare lessons that meet the divergent needs of students following the Houghton-Mifflin Core Curriculum.  Administer interventions to English Language Learners and other low performing students.  Monitor students’ progress through various forms of assessments.  Provide a safe and supportive environment for all my students.

2004-2007    SUBSTITUTE TEACHER, Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (Fairfield, CA)
Long term substitute for a Kindergarten classroom.  Provide scaffolding to lessons to make the work accessible to all learners. Coordinated fieldtrips to the Sacramento Zoo.  Provide classroom management following the model set forth by Robert Mackenzie’s book, Setting Limits in the Classroom. Choreographed and rehearsed five kindergarten classes’ talent showcase performances.  Prepared report cards and organized students’ cumulative files at the end of the school year.

Teach large groups of all ages, proper dance technique as well as discipline and etiquette. Prepare various classes’ curriculum and lesson plans.  Choreograph for multiple competition and show performances. Assistant Director and Production Manager at all studio performances. Lead peers through practices or rehearsals.  Attend several classes a week ranging in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip-hop. Perform in front of large audiences at several community and school events.
