About Me
I am Deuane. My name has two
meanings: Moon and Month. However, my parents originally intended
it to signify moon because I was born on the day of a full moon.
I was born in Thailand on November 9. About less than a
year after I was born, my family immigrated to the United States.
We settled in Sacramento and have stayed since. I have two
siblings, one older sister and one younger brother. I also have
two wonderfully amazing and inspiring parents.
I grew up
in North Sacramento and attended school in the surrounding aread.
My college years at UC Berkeley were the best of my adult
education. The four years I spent there helped mold me and change
me into the person I am today. As I look back at myself, I’ve
seen how much I’ve change and so much of it is positive.
Today, I am
at UC Davis working on becoming a teacher. It is a arduous
process but I am tackling it the best I can. I’ve learned a great
deal about myself as an educator and learner during this process.
Hopefully, all of what I’ve learned will manifest itself in me becoming
the best teacher I can be. I see a bright future for myself and I
hope I continue to change for the better. I am Deuane. I am
dynamic not static.
