I am a student in the 2006-2007 Multiple Subject Credential/M.A. in Education program at the School of Education at U.C. Davis. During most of the school year I have worked as a student teacher with 5th graders, and this spring I worked with 1st graders.
Next year I will begin teaching 5th grade in Rio Linda. I love working with kids of all ages! They are amazing, funny and inspiring, and I learn something new from them everyday.

Before entering the credential program at U.C. Davis, I worked for eight years at the nonprofit California Voter Foundation, educating voters across the state and working to improve the disclosure of money in politics across the country.
Before that, I worked for Project Vote Smart in Corvallis, Oregon. I graduated from U.C. Davis in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in history and political science-public service.

When I have free time, I love to cook, read, listen to music or play the guitar, go for a hike, work in the garden, take pictures, explore my family history, and spend time with my family. I live in Davis with my two kids and my husband, who is also a teacher.
