Solar System Art Lesson Plan This lesson exposes students to artistic concepts such as "medium", "content" and "expression". Students use these concepts to analyze works of art and then create their own solar system-themed artwork.

Students hone their listening and writing skills as they  listen to poetry by Mexican-American author Francisco X. Alarcon and recreate  the poem in pairs and groups.

Hanging Gardens Lesson Plan This science lesson allows students to create their own artificial environments for lima bean seeds. With variables such as "no light", "no water", "spray with vinegar",  etc., students discover and document the growing needs of lima beans.
