Sierra Vista Elementary School                   Vacaville, CA Vacaville Unified School District	Third grade self-contained classroom                    Resident Teacher:    Mrs. Brenda       DeVore Students: 18	Vacaville Unified School District is under Title 1.  We use the Houghton Mifflin Core Curriculum and emphasize mathematical skills and language arts.  In the classroom, we have one student that is considered an Intermediate ESL Learner.  His assignments are modifed for success as a student.  We also have another ESL learner that has CELDT scores placing her as Advanced.  In the classroom, we have one student that attends RSP 49% of the time and another that attends speech class.  In only one of these instances do we modify assignments. During my time in the classroom, I was responsible for lesson planning, teaching specific lessons, morning warm-ups (daily lanugage and daily math), a two-week takeover, and a P.A.C.T. unit. This class is a wonderful class that has allowed me to expand and work on my teaching skills.  The group of students are the best!

		Padan Elementary School Vacaville, CA Vacaville Unified School District	First grade self-contained classroom Resident Teacher:     Mrs. Nancy       Madonna Students: 20	This placement allowed me to see a different teaching style from the one that I worked with at Sierra Vista.  I also have seen another grade of students which allowed me to work closely with that age group. Since my second placement was still in the Vacaville USD, I was still required to work with Houghton Mifflin.
