| I love teaching and learning from each and every one of my students everyday! I was born in Southern California and grew up in the small city of Claremont. I lived just south of the Beautiful Mount Baldy. You can see a picture of Mt. Baldy on my homepage. I have a wonderful and loving family. My parents instilled in me at a very young age a desire to love learning, reading, and to always do my absolute best. I also have two younger brothers. Growing up we enjoyed going on adventures, writing books, and putting on plays together. Today, they are amazing young men. | ||||
| I believe that literacy is emancipating. This belief led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of California, Davis. I graduated in June of 2006. Throughout my college career I was constantly volunteering in classrooms and working as a small group instructor for elementary and secondary students at a learning center in Davis. This experience only further convinced me that I wanted more than anything to be a teacher. Upon graduating, I immediately set forth to begin my teacher training. I continued at UC Davis, but this time in pursuit of a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with supplemental authorizations to teach English Composition, Literature, and Introductory English. My Teaching Credential will be completed in June of 2007. I will continue working towards receiving a Masters of Arts in Education that is scheduled to be complete by March of 2008. | ||||
| My greatest passion is teaching. I believe that all children have unique gifts and talents that must be recognized. I will celebrate each student's strengths and abilities, nurturing these strengths and encouraging them to grow. I want to share with all of my students a love for learning that will continue throughout their lives. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve your children. | ||||
