My Biography | ||
|
|
Though I
was born in Alameda, CA, I consider myself a Sacramento native. My
family moved to Auburn, CA when I was 4 and then again to Walnut Creek,
CA when I was 10. I returned to the Sacramento area for college,
attending U.C. Davis and majoring in Biological Sciences: Neurobiology,
Physiology and Behavior. I stayed in Davis to attend Graduate School to
pursue my career goal of teaching elementary school. I recently
relocated to Columbus, Ohio to pursue my teaching career.
I have always wanted to teach. In high school, I gained my first teaching experience through our church and taught catechism for 3 year olds! It was incredible and then and there I was bit by the teaching bug. I have been a camp counselor, a tutor, and a T.A. but nothing was better than my student teaching. I worked in a first grade in Vacaville, CA with a veteran teacher and an amazing group of students. Outside of teaching, I love to read, dance and cook. I love doing outdoor activities, especially traveling. Most recently, I backpacked through Spain for three weeks in the july of '06. I look forward to bringing my talents to an elementary school in the fall and can not wait to have my own classroom! |
