Standards
This is a great game that will improve students' math skills in addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.  Every student will be able to participate in this game. Each student will be given a card that has either an addition or subtraction problem. Students take turns, one at a time until everyone has had a turn. The game continues in a loop until it goes back to the first student who started the game.

    Grade Level: 3rd Grade
 California State Standards: Students calculate and solve problems  involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Solve problems involving multiplication and division of multidigit numbers. Find the sum or difference of two whole numbers between 0 and 10,000.
Directions

  1. Choose one game to play.
  2. Pass out all cards until every student has a card. There are 20 cards in each game.
  3. Choose one student to start the game. The student will read the math problem on his or her card.
  4. Once the student has read the card, whomever has the answer to the problem will go next. For example, if the student's card reads: " I have 5, who has this number plus 7?" The student who has "12" (the answer), will go next.
  5. The game continues until every student has had a turn and it comes back to the first person who started the game.
