Rules to the game:

1. Hand out a card or two to each student .

2. Starting with any card have child read their card out loud to the class filling in the numbers of each set of items as they go. ( "I have three baseballs. .... Who has six basketballs?" )

3. Have children go around the room until the game has gone in a complete loop. ( With the example given above the last card would refer back to the first and would say " I have

seventeen cell phones. Who has three balls?" )

Reason to play such a game:

This game helps children to learn both English and Mathematical principles. With repetition this game will enforce children to recognize the differences between statements and

questions, and will also help children recognize new words based on the visuals. This game will also help children develop one-to-one correspondance by haveing to count the

various sets of objects on each card. Some cards are not as complex as others which will help students who are not quite ready to tackle a card which has ninteen cars and

seventeen cell phones. Another reason to play this game is to give children a break in their daily routine to do something that might be a little more fun than everyday classwork.
