Loop Around Game

Instructions: Loop-Around

What is Loop-Around?

Loop-Around is a fun and challenging math game where students must quickly calculate problems in their heads.  Loop-Around is a great because it is ment to be played as a whole-class game that incorporates every student.

How Do You Play?

The game consists of 3x5 cards.  Each card has a number and a math fact written on it.  Each student is given a card.  The first student that is selected to start the game reads their math fact out loud to the class such as,"who has 24 multiplied by 1 minus 23?"  Then it is up to the rest of the class to quickly compute this number in their heads to reach the answer, which in this case is 1.  Then, the student who has the card that says "I have 1" reads his math fact out loud to the class and the process countinues until each student has had a turn reading their math fact and the game LOOPS-AROUND back to the first student who started.
