This
is a math game for second grade students. It
addresses the second grade Content Standards:(2.3) Use mental arithmetic to
find the sum or difference of two digit numbers and (3.3) Know
multiplication
tables of 2's, 5's, and 10's and commit them to memory. To play this
game you will need 40 students and will pass out a card with a a math
problem
to each student. The student who receives the card that says "I
have
23. Who has this number plus 4?" will begin the game by reading
their card to the class. The student who has the answer for the
problem
written on their card would then say "I have 27" and then read their
problem that is written on their card out loud to the class. The
student
with the answer will then call it out and read his or her problem that
is
written on their card. Students will continue to do this until
the class
comes to the last card that says "I have 13. Who has this number
plus 10?" Which would be 23, which loops students back to the
first
card that was read at the beginning of the game. The great thing about
this
game is that every student will have a turn to think about a problem,
call out
the answer to their problem, and read the next problem for the
class.
Also, since it loops around no student will have the same answer or
problem as
another student. Click on the title above to open up my Looparound in
