teacher’s role is complex and multi-dimensional; a teacher should
inspire, within all her students, a life-long love and appreciation of
learning; a teacher must support students as they achieve their learning goals
including both content knowledge and more general life skills; a
teacher must facilitate
the classroom and curriculum so that all students learn and become self-sufficient learners.
Our classrooms and schools must prepare all students to live in a world
where diversity is common, information is readily available and where
critical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must.
