UC Davis program is an intensive one-year Teaching Credential and Masters of Education
program incuding: * a research project on an
individually designed intervention in literacy development and
* an extensive report on a 3-day
designed and video-taped mathematics lesson-plan sequence
The
M.A. thesis is written
from teacher-research done in the classroom after the completion of all
coursework.
I also became K-8 Spanish, BCLAD certified. BCLAD stands for: Bilingual, Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development. |

Philosphy |
For the Spanish BCLAD Program: * I took additional courses in Spanish * I took additional courses covering strategies to teach students of different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. * All student teaching was in dual-immersion schools. (Dual-immersion schools teach part of the day in Spanish and part in English i.e. 2nd grade: 70% Spanish, 30% English) |
