Hi! My name is Linda Nguyen! I
am currently working on getting my Multiple Subject credential and
Masters in Education at the University of California in Davis,
California. I grew up in San Jose, California and attended Los Arboles
and Edenvale Elementary School, Caroline Davis Intermediate School and
Oak Grove High School. Following my freshman year, my family relocated
to Tracy, California where they still currently reside. It was there
that I attended Merrill F. West High School and went on to San Joaquin
Delta College. After two years of hardwork, I transferred to the
University of California, Davis where I majored in Sociology with an
emphasis in Social Services and a minor in Education. Although I have
always had a love for children, initially I intended on pursuing a
career in social work. However, during the latter part of my college
career after an internship in a kindergarten classroom at North Davis
Elementary and a job as a Kindergarten Enrichment Teacher at Merryhill
Elementary School in Davis, my focus was shifted. I wanted to play a
proactive role in children's lives. I wanted to be a good example for
them and help in providing them with the tools and skills needed for
success in life. My goal was clear. I was meant to be a teacher.
