About Me
Home	My name is Alfredo S. Rodríguez. I was born in  México and then moved to the United States as a child (not on my own). Ever since, I have been living in Northern California, Winters, to be exact.      After many years, I returned to school in order to complete what I had once started. I attended Sacramento City College prior to transferring to the University of California, Davis. I wanted to major in Spanish, but decided to major in History instead since the Spanish I know is enough to get by in California. In 2006, I received my Bachelors of Arts  from UC Davis. Knowing very well that I could not do much with a History degree, and Law School was not even an option, the clear choice was to become a teacher.      Currently, I am in the process of obtaining a  Multiple Subject Teaching Credential  with a BCLAD from UC Davis. I am also  currently doing my student teaching in a 1st grade classroom . I eventually want to work in the higher grades, but the experience I have gained in the classroom will only help me later on in my career. Hopefuly by the end of Winter 2009 I will have completed my Masters of Atrs in Education, hopefully.      Since  beginning the Credential Program, I have met many interesting people that have traveled and studied in different parts of the world. I would also love to see the world, but lets face it, I want to be a teacher and that means no money. I will have to settle with visiting family in Southern California and México.       I am a  huge sports fan. I love my Chivas, Cowboys, Dodgers, Kings, FC Barcelona, and the Mexican National Team. I love to listen to the best group EVER, Los Bukis, on a daily basis. I also enjoy Ramón Ayala, Vicente Fernandez, Los Yonic's and Rigo Tovar. On some occasions I may even listen to English music, like REO Speedwagon. I can't get enough of The Simpsons, Cheers, PBS, Discovery Channel, Youtube, and Mexican soap operas. I hate  NCLB because I believe"that's not America, that's not even México". I also hate spiders!
