Loop Around Game ![]() ![]() |
|
| This
looparound game meets the fourth grade math standards in the areas of
number sense, algebra and geometry. It would be useful as a
review activity, once all of the concepts in the game have been
covered. It could even be used in fifth grade classrooms
for beginning of the year review. |
Directions:
There are 20 cards in each set. Students in excess of 20 can
either share a neighbor's card and work together, or sit the round
out. Hand out the cards and choose a student to start the
game. Once you get started, the game runs itself. The
person who posed the first question will have the last answer.
The math is intended to be done mentally, but if the students get
stuck, the teacher can write the question on the board. Hopefully
with a visual representation of the question, students will still be
able to deduce the answer in their head. |
