Ever since I was in third grade, I
knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had an incredibly inspiring teacher
who made learning fun for me and every student lucky enough to be in
her class. My imagination ran wild with things I wanted to do when I
"grew up" to be a teacher just like her...and now, here I am!
I grew up in the small town of Pleasanton, California and I come from an extremely close and loving family. I was blessed with a great education, and my family taught me the importance of school early on. I like to spend as much time as I can with my friends and family. I love to cook and bake and try new recipes! Running is another one of my passions, and I hope to run in my second marathon this year! Having learned the importance of school, I pursued my education and completed my undergraduate work at the University of California, Davis. I loved UC Davis so much that I decided to stay a bit longer and make my dream of becoming a teacher a reality. I am currently a graduate student at UC Davis, working to obtain my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and my Masters of Education. I love the program and all the opportunities it gives me to work with children and become the teacher I dreamed of back in third grade! I am student teaching in a first grade classroom at Anderson Elementary School in Dixon, California. I love the students, and it is such a fun classroom! I learn something new from the students every single day. I feel so lucky that soon my job will be to work with the imaginitive, talented youth that is our future. I am learning that teaching is a profession of many challenges, but also one of countless rewards and I am extremely excited to embark on this journey! I hope that someday I will inspire my students in the same way that my third grade teacher inspired me to reach for my dreams! |

| One looks back with appreciation to
the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our
human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material,
but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul
of the child. ~Carl Jung |
