Hi there! My
name is Le Tran. I was born and raised in Oakland, California. My mom
traveled to America with my four siblings without knowing any English.
Through the education system, my family was able to learn English and
support me through my education. I am so proud of how brave my mom was
to travel to a whole new country to learn English. By becoming a
teacher, I will have the chance to help families like my own. So I
began my quest starting in High School. During summers, I would work
for Project YES which helped middle school students learn about the
environment through service learning projects around the community. In
college, I interned with Project SEED where I taught 2nd grade students
about the environment. I also interned with local schools, interned in
a lab, and worked at the recycling program on campus. Graduating from
UC Davis with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development and a
Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Education taught
me so much about children and the education system. Currently I
am attending UC Davis for my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I am
student teaching in a wonderful 4th grade classroom in the Robla School
District in Sacramento. I am learning so much and I am sure there is
still much more to learn. My quest continues...
I look forward to learning and having a great year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. Miss
