Week 8 - Feb. 6

There are two goals for the night. The most important is for you to become "comfortable" with the technology needed for the tech fair as it was discussed on Feb. 5. The second goal of the night is an introduction to spreadsheets.

Skills you will need -

To be able to do simple, grade book level, computations in a spreadsheet.
To be able to create a pie chart or histogram using a spreadsheet.
To do a conditional shading in a spreadsheet.

Conditional Cell-level shading

Assignment due as you walk out the door - We will actually work together on this assignment. When the instruction is complete you will have finished the assignment.

Skills you must illustrate: 1) Create a simple 4 student grade book entry for a 4 question test. Show how to sum and average the grades. 2) Create a demographics pie graph. 3) Show how to shade every cell in a spreadsheet that contains an entry less than 50% of a column header. This will make sense when you see it:)
